Our Approach with STRANGE Bikinis

VLIV Communications worked with STRANGE Bikinis in 2020 during the height of COVID-19 to handle all facets of fashion public relations for the brand, including earned media outreach and influencer relations. With many beach vacations and pool parties put on hold, we had to find ways to position the brand that evoked a feeling of escapism and fun, while still being mindful of the current situation.

As a huge focus for the brand is its appeal to the “real girl” and body positivity mission, every piece of communication that we distributed, from pitches to influencer outreach, consistently highlighted this messaging.

 

We worked with influencers that matched the aesthetic and values of STRANGE Bikinis, including Mary Jelkovsky, Manon Lanza, Holly Bentley, Zia Suarez, and Hayley Young, to seed and create campaigns that further drove home both the sustainable and body positive brand message.

Through our earned media outreach and consistent messaging, we garnered placements for STRANGE Bikinis in leading outlets such as Forbes, Real Simple, COOLS, The Zoe Report, and PureWow.
